Blade Steel
For the blade steel, the Hornet uses D2 with 61 HRC hardness. Despite its hardness of 61 on the Rockwell scale, this steel is very easy to sharpen and accordingly holds its edge, which makes the Hornet a match for any challenge. No play in the blade: the blade moves with no play and absolute lateral stability, achieved with the use of ceramic ball bearings.
Keep it Safe
The additional, high-quality storage pouch with a Velcro fastener offers safe, firm, bespoke protection for the VulkanUS Hornet. An additional fastening tab can be found on the back, for attachment to a belt or similar.
Revolutionary
The Hornet can be operated with one hand, the thumb sliding along the blade opening to open it in one go. A sturdy linerlock safely locks the knife. An index finger through the hole in the handle produces a revolutionary grip, so that the knife and hand merge to become one.
